I incorrectly claimed that my parents claimed me as a dependent. Which IRS form do I have to fill out?

I no longer qualify as a dependent so I ended up paying more than I should have.

Answers:
To file a revised tax return, you use form 1040X. You can download a copy from the IRS website. Instructions are found there also. Go to this page and scroll down until you find it:

To correct this you will need to amend your return with a IRS Form 1040X. It may be that your parents will also need to amend their return after yours has been cleared. If you had filed with you as a dependent and they attempted to claim you after that their return will reject.
If your parents no longer qualified to claim you as a dependent, but you didn't claim yourself, then file a form 1040X amendment to get the extra money that you overpaid.
