You can't do it personally, you'd have to go through your local child support enforcement agency.
You can't. You have to file a case with the DA & let them handle it. If you haven't done any of this there is no way you are "entitled" to intercept his check.
That is highly illegal, that money comes from dead beat dads taxes. you have to file a lawsuit to get the mony where it comes from is up to the court

once he's in the legal system as having to owe child support than the goverment will intercept it automatically and send it to you! Good luck! BTW if you havent filed the paper work already for child support its not that hard. Lots of help around too.
I suggest you contact the Dept. of Health and Human Services in your area. They should be able to give you the number for the Child Support Enforcement Unit. If you're receiving benefits through the State, they can take on the case for you. But- you probably won't get any of that check now, it's too late. Deadbeat dads don't deserve the "free" lives they have. If you have no luck with the State, you may try a lawyer; most provide free 1/2 hr. consultations.
