You should have contacted the tax office as soon as you finished work. I imagine that they will only process the claim from when they received it, which may well have been April.
You can always contact them so they can clarify the situation. A good thing to keep in your mind though is that as soon as your circumstances change then contact official people.

i think you may have been overpaid in the past,u were given to much money so they took it from last years award because there was money that was owed to you, it has been fully recovered now so they can start paying you normally again
e.g you were getting £97 per week but they were keeping back £50 to put towards the o/p rather than sending you a bill for the money that was owed back to them, best thing to do is call them 0800 300 3900 they will let you no the reason, and if u were o/p explain how it happened
