Maybe you can give me a link, where it says so!?
Thank for your help
Answers:
Taxation as you describe is prohibited by the U.S. Constitution.
First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution:
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
The first phrase of this amendment is interpreted to mean that the Church and State are separate, and that the State shall not impose taxes related to the exercise of religion, either on individuals or the Church.
I live in the USA. I've never heard of a church tax, and I've gone to church for many years. So whatever they have in Germany, they don't have here.
Gutten tag - there are no taxes required to be paid to support any religious organizations in the US. Feel free to go to any Church. They will probably ask you to voluntarily contribute, but that that is your decision (with no obligation).
No there is no tax to be paid to go to church here in the US. And actually, any donations that you do give to a church are tax deductible on your Schedule A - Itemized Deductions as charitable contributions. Whatever amount you don't use in the year of the donation is carried forward.
