Do I have to apply for a different federal tax id each time I have a business lets imagine I have a small body shop and I wanna open a bakery is the federal tax id the same or I have to apply for an other tax id when I open a different business in a few words each business requires different tax id?

It depends on the business. If all of these businesses are sole proprietorship's then you could probably use the same federal ID number, if the number is issued in your name the doing business as.. However, each state has different requirements about their ID numbers.
