I sent my tax return off in late February and I'm still waiting for my refund. I had to mail it as I am a non-resident so I'm waiting.and waiting. Any way to see what is happening with it, how long should I wait until I get worried?
Answers:
You should have received your refund by now. I suggest either calling the IRS at 1-800-829-1040, or going on-line to www.irs.gov and finding "where's my refund" and click on that. You will need to enter the taxpayer's social security number, filing status, and exact amount of the refund expected. You should hopefully get some information that way.
Go to the irs website- irs.org .. you should be able to check it from there
