Answers:
59 quid a week, it goes up for long term sick people.
I don't think they have incapacity benefit in India.
if depends on what rate she would be on.. speak to JobcentrePLus

It depends on on what rate is awarded there is Lower, Middle and higher rate. Lower is for the first 28 weeks, middle is 28 - 52 weeks and higher is for over 52 weeks. Sorry I can't remember the amounts (I work at benefits office but have been off sick for a while) try ringing up the local council or the Benefits Agency (or whatever they like to call themselves nowadays) Hope this helps.
I too, think they are very poor in India and would therefore not have a welfare state ..but if you mean this country England..it depends on how much you are incapacitated..it varies ..the only people who could tell you how much you will get is the benefit agency..
