For an individual who suffers from the handicap- Income upto Rs.150000 is exempt from tax as Deduction u/s 80U of Rs.50000 can be claimed and hence the net income becomes Rs.100000 - basic exemption limit

For a woman who suffers from the handicap, exempt income would be Rs.185000.Deduction u/s 80U of Rs.50000 can be claimed and hence the net income becomes Rs.135000-basic exemption limit for women.

For a senior citizen(65 yrs of age at any time during the previous year and a residenr of India),exempt income would be Rs.235000.Deduction u/s 80U of Rs.50000 can be claimed and hence the net income becomes Rs.185000-basic exemption limit for senior citizens.

Deduction U/s 80U becomes Rs.75000 if disability is 75% or more, in which case the abovementioned exempt income will increase by Rs.25000

If a deaf and dumb person is a dependant on an Individual, then the individual can claim deduction u/s 80DD upto Rs.50000 for normal disability (upto 75%)and Rs.75000 ( for severe disability(75% or more)
