I want to write my school expendatures off. Whats the deal with that?

Generally education expenses are not deductible.
You can right off your tuition as long as you are not taking the standard deduction and are being claimed by anyone else. I thought about seeing what I could do to take my own expenses but my Dad decided to claim me and I wasn't able to.uggh.
