Am i eligible for tax returns for my newborn baby if he is going to born in oct. 2006 on my 2006 filing?

Answer:
yes! and congradulations! you will get more return money also. the younger the child the more you will get back. hopefully it will be enough to cover any maternal expenses you have had so far!! good luck. mine was born in january of this year - so i missed it :-(
as long as the baby is born before midnight on dec 31 , 2006 you will be able to take the baby off your taxes
yes, you would be eligible for EIC so long as the baby was born before Jan1 2007
yes as long as thye baby is born before dec.31 you are able to claim them for the year.

If a child is born during the year, even on Dec. 31, you can claim him for the whole year. If there is income, the child can file. May need some help tho.
