If I inherited 10kg of gold dust from my uncle in lets say Ghana how would it be allowed through customs and?

To begin with, you would have problems taking it out of Ghana. The Ghanian Govt. doesn't allow Gold to be taken out without following the correct channels. If you get caught it could mean a jail term. 10 Kg of Gold is not easy to hide; and even if you were to get it into the UK, UK customs would want to see geniune paperwork, otherwise you could be in more trouble. I suggest you sell it off in Ghana, you might not get as much, but at least you will have your freedom. Allow the regulars who know the route to do the job and stay clear of any trouble. Good Luck!
