How much do you pay to have your tax return subbmitted?

Answer:
Depends on who does it, and how complicated it is. There are free services if you make under $35k a year - check the IRS website to find a nearby VITA site. You'd probably pay around $65 to $125 for an accountant or tax service, if it's simple. If it's at all complex, can be much more than that.

Almost any of the above sites should be able to e-file your return.

If you're planning to do it yourself and just want to find someone to e-file it, check the IRS website, it can be free if your income isn't too high. Or most VITA sites will prepare and e-file your return.
To have my taxes prepared, you mean? $235 USD.
I do mine on line. It costs me nothing in the UK.
I pay my accountant about $500 to do my taxes. expensive, but he brings me back a wonderful tax refund every year!
Absolutely nothing. They have a free income tax clinic down the street for low income people like myself.
$15-$35 for simple return and electronic filing. If you have actual accountant do the prep and file for you, this can cost $200 or more depends how complicated your return is.
Just read up on this site straight from the government, so you KNOW it is a secured site.

get tax cut software - just get the basic unless you have a lot of complicated stuff - 10 to 15 bucks max. the delux is like 25? i was really nervous about doing it myself, but the software really holds your hand through the whole thing.
Around £250
I pay £90 per return to a company of chartered accountants.
I do my taxes myself for free. I paid someone $200 once and felt like a sucker; I could have done that! So I do it myself each year. It's not that hard (unless you own a small business - then you'd be foolish to DIY).

It takes about three hours, although I moved last year (house sold, house bouoght) so it took longer.
It varies from accountant to accountant HMRC do not recommend the use of accountants . Ring your local tax office and ask to arrange an appointment for help with filling in your return. It won't cost you a penny! Remember you only have untill 30/09/06 to submit it if you want the Tax office to do your calculations .
it costs nothing to send in your return but you would be wise to pay an accountant to do your return as he will do it correct and he could save you money on other things you may have not realised you can deduct i myself pay my accountant £150 per year to submit a return but i do all the book works myself and as i,m always after September this fee includes him calculating my bill i would be in trouble without him..
Im an accountant and the amount I charge depends on how much work is involved. Be aware that most accountants charge between anything from 30-100 pounds/hour. You can send in all your paperwork to HMRC before September, and they will calculate your tax liability for you, but they dont put most things through that are allowed as tax deductable expenses like an accountant would. An accountant is your best bet and if your records are in order I would expect you to pay anwhere between 75-150 pounds as a set fee.
Its free if you do it on line, free if you hand it in to your local office and the price of a stamp if you post it.

If you want it prepared that's different LOL
