My business bank account was garnished two weeks before the IRS letter says the payment was due. Now checks will bounce, my credit rating will suffer, and I can't make payroll.
Answer:
You can sue in Federal District Court if you can prove the IRS employee acted recklessly or intentionally disregarded tax laws. Hard to prove and expensive. Good luck.
Since this is America, you're welcome to sue anybody over anything.
