Can I do my year taxes if I get paid in cash.?

I work but get paid in cash can I stildo my taxes every year.

Answer:
Yes, of course. Governments will always take your money. I used to baby-sit in between days that I went to classes at college. Four times a year, I filled out a form for the federal government for estimated taxes. I didn't fill out one for the state because I didn't make enough money. I paid only at the end of the year for them. Just call the tax office numbers to ask for the forms. If you started your job late in the year, and you don't make a lot of money, you may not need to pay taxes till April. However, if you work for someone else, that person should be taking your taxes out for you, even if you get paid in cash, and they should include a statement in your pay envelope. If they won't do that, I wouldn't work for them anymore. IF HOWEVER you get paid with a 1099, then you DO pay your taxes yourself. In short, if you are self-employed--you baby-sit on your own, clean houses on your own, shovel snow and cut grass on your own, i.e. people pay you with a check made out to YOU (sole proprietorship) or YOUR BUSINESS NAME (LLC or subchapter S corporation)which is registered with the county clerk OR pay you in cash (give them a receipt in either case--books of them can be bought at stationery stores and departments), then you make out estimated taxes. You also pay estimated taxes if you get a 1099 from a company that you work for because you work under a contract. In April, you send in your taxes as usual. Hopefully, you've estimated fairly accurately and you won't have to pay a penalty. Good luck!
Do you get tax forms? (w-2s showing how much you've earned)
Yes, you can. You may be expected to pay social security taxes, too!
Yes, you can, you need to keep track of all you make. Remember, to not pay taxes, even if paid in cash, it's a federal offense. The IRS doesn't like evaders.
You can but you will have to pay in taxes among other fee's. it is illegal to be paid "under the table".. Your boss needs to be paying you with a check, and taking out taxes, and social security and other things.

then give you a W-2 form at the end of the year showing your total earnings and money taken out. If he gets caught not doing this he will be in big doo doo.

IF you are under 18 your parents need to claim your earnings on their tax return form.
Are you employed directly by someone? You should receive W2s from them.

If you're an independent contractor, your contract organizations should be filling a 1099-MISC.

If you have a business, you have to register with the IRS as an independent business.
