I normally get working and child tax credit every four weeks. I have recently sent back my renewal form, and yesterday a small amount of working and child tax credit was paid into my account, even though my usual payment is not due yet. Is this meant to happen? Is it something to do with the renewal?

it should be a one off payment, more than likely due to returning the renewal. you should get an award notice through the post in roughly 10 working days when u recieve it please check everything on it is correct, as if anything is wrong u may end up owing them money argh, and its not the most pleasant
