I am starting an Auction selling sporting goods. Any suggestions?

I don't know what auction you are doing so i am just going to guise ebay.
OK make sure you give a good description although i feel most people don't read them their are still some that do.
research your auction see how many of the items you have are on that auction is it flooded with the items and are the prices what you are wanting for the items.
Also a digital scale it is great if people know the shipping ahead of time most will rather know what their full bill is going to be so make sure you have a scale so you can give that to them you can get them cheap on ebay.
packing material have it ready and stocked priority boxes are free and can be order through the post office web sight and mailed to your home for free so stock up.
Tape post office no longer give this.
be aware of your auction fees since it cost to list.
get a paypal account people want to be able to use their credit card and you and your buyer are protected also get paypal debit card great to have because your money right their instead of having to wait to have transfered to your bank account.
picture I almost forgot a great digital camer picture are the main thing people see great back ground to take your picture
look around the auctions see some other and see what they have and how they have thier auctions don't steal thier ideal just get a feel.
