If you are going to spend money advertising, why not fold a dollar bill into a tshirt (have small stickers made with your logo on it) stick the logo on the shirt and clip the shirt to your business card.
Everyone loves free money, it will cost you a dollar a house, but it's fun :)
If you don't want to use a real dollar, use a fake dollar (somewhat looking like a dollar, but it can actually be a coupon for your business and make sure it clearly states it is not legal tender. It is just a coupon.)
DO NOT MAKE IT ANYWHERE CLOSE TO A REAL DOLLAR. You do not want the feds knocking at your door :)

Could you possibly repost the question with the type of business that you are advertising for. That would make it alot easier to give you ideas that match the product.
I've got three Ideas:
Do-it-yourself science kit. You give people the ingredients to do science tricks at home. Like a packet of mints and a bottle of lemonade. They put the mint in the lemonade and it explodes.
Tissue boxes with tissues in. Your own kind of design.
Doormats or rugs with your own kind of design.
cutting boards, trivetts, place mats
