How do you verifiy a check before you deposit it to your account w/o being charged?
Answers:
Check Guarantee services make accepting a check from anyone with a valid ID as safe as accepting cash. There are several comprehensive programs designed for each merchant’s specific business requirements and volume of checks received. Two options are below.
Electronic check conversion converts the paper check to electronic format at the earliest point in thecheck flow - the point of sale. Authorization and settlement is similar to that of a credit card.
Xpress Check, fits the requirements of most merchants, in every market, as it provides the coverage and protection needed to accept customer check payments at the point of sale without risk. Merchants receive 100% of the face value of checks returned from authorizing banks when utilizing this flagship check service.
Simple Payment Systems is truly the absolute best for credit card and electronic check processing. The electronic check processes the check like a credit card. So if the check is deposited into your account ASAP from your business. If it is bad you know right away. I have done research for a long time. They give you free equipment, free training, free software- with a check out cart! (if you have a web site also that you want to sell items on.) They beat discount rate quotes that you give them from other companies too. They have 24 hour live help, which is handy. Make sure you tell them you want the free program. We switched from another company over to them. And have never been happier. Go to their web site and call them or fill out the form and they can contact you. I did countless hours of research! Trust me they are the BEST.
Best wishes!

IF you have a branch of the bank that the check was drawn on then go to that branch and CASH the check instead of putting it into your own account. If it is written out to your business name have them convert it to a "cashiers check"...and then deposit the cashiers check to your account..that will be garanteed funds. To avoid getting scammed insist on ONLY LOCAL CHECKS ..ie checks where there is a local branch in your city..that way you can ensure that the funds are good..
.. the only other way is to insist on payment via Paypal or some other online provider. Paypal offers E-check payments...but they take a few days to clear...
Good luck!
