Are grants available to start a fitness business? If so what's the best way of getting one?

Don't believe that last answer. I am a grant writer and spend most of my day looking for grants for non-profits. Why don't I look for grants for people like you? They simply are not there. If there were I would have found them by now. Don't believe Lesco either. His book is a rip off!
Your best bet is to first try family and friends. After that go through the SBA http://www.sba.gov guatenteed loan program. They work with local banks, etc. You can get help putting the fianacials together by using the Small Business Development Center http://www.sba.gov/sbdc
But as far as grants go.I hate to discourage you, but there are none out there for individuals. Good luck.
Yes there are grants, you just have to keep looking.
