In Florida: What step-by-step, instructions does the beginner need to know when starting ecommerce?

the business is still on "drawing board", business is artwork. I have a partner in NC, what conflicts will there be? What legalities & contracts are there? What are all the gory details of small e-business that sells artworks? What are the tricks of the trade? Loopholes that hurt? Loopholes that help? Will someone give free consultations? Their is no cookie cutter business model for any business but I will give some suggestions. First off a partner in another state may work but in my experience in order to get a business started you need people that can communicate effectively and being in another state will slow communication. I would highly suggest getting a lawyer that knows business to draw up contracts and setup an LLC or S Corporation to save on taxes. You will need to have a way for people to communicate with you if their is a problem with the product. As far as free consultations you would probably have better luck talking to your chamber of commerce and go to a few meetings with other business people to ask for their opinion on what they would do.
