What is the average monthly or yearly income that I can expect to make with a small thrift store?
Answer:
Location, location, location!! Depends on if your store is easily accessible to people who will use it. It also depends generally upon the size of the population you will draw on. The more people, the better the business.
Here are some links you may find interesting or helpful. a few of them are advertisements for books about starting thrift stores - I don't know how helpful they might be.
It is something I'd like to do too, but I think there just aren't enough people where I live to make it feasible.
Best of luck with it.
The variables are too widely spaced to be able to answer this question with any accuracy. For example, what kind of area do you live in? Is it a city, or a town. If a city, are there other stores close by selling the same range of products? What is the economic base of the area? Are your projected products going to be well received in your area?
A piece of advice.don't even CONSIDER opening this store unless you have enough capital on hand to carry the store with no profit for over a year. It will take at least that long to figure out if it stands a chance of succeeding!
