I want to start walking peoples' dogs as a side thing. How do I work out the trust issue?
What do you think is a good way to get business?
What about rates?
What is the average rate?

A good way to get business is maybe put up flyers at your local grocery stores or drug stores, or by word of mouth. Tell one person and ask them to pass the information on to other potential customers. As far as the trust issues go, I would approach it the same way that a nanny or a babysitter does. Have at least three good refrences that can state that you are a good worker and very well trusted. I have no idea how much you should charge, I would assume by how difficult the dog is to handle and how much time you spend with them? Hope the information I was able to provide helps!
Try to get some clients that you know, work with them so they will give you references. Always be on time and clean and presentable.
Put some flyers around good neighborhoods after that.
I don't know much about the rates, check it out in your area or talk with people about how much it might be worth to them.
Good luck!
