I have been slowly starting a business online over the last few years that is beginning to take off and I am thinking about filing for a trade mark for my business name so that the webdesigner who is working on it for me can use it on my website...if I do this will I have to also file for a ficticious name in the state of florida?
Answers:
If you send out invoices, accept payments, or buy anything under that name, you would have to file a fictitious name. I would suggest you doing so just to avoid confusion with your customers when they are asked to send payment to one person when your website says another name.
