Being sued, court says to respond in writeing within 28 days, the question is?
Answer:
Consult an attorney or legal aid. You must respond, but don't say too much. Analyze every word you put to writing to make sure you aren't inadvertently "admitting" something you don't want to admit (or didn't do). The legal realm is tricky and you don't want to say too much and impugn yourself.
Don't do it yourself. If you want you can call them and see what you can work out. If nothing can be worked out get an attorney. Otherwise you will get hosed. Representing yourself in court is like like not having an attorney, not like being your own attorney. The judge will not let you speak on your own behalf.

Call an attorney. Call who sent you the letter, dont offer any info except the letter and ask them what you should do. then call an attorney
Laws in all states are different so contact an attorney for help and if you can't afford to do that get online and check out the laws for your state. A lot of times you can find sample forms etc. to use. If you're being sued for an unpaid bill or something like that it may just take sending in a document stating that you deny owing the bill. But it needs to be done a bit professionally
