But my main suggestion would be to just TOTALLY IMITATE what other successful courier services are doing right now. How can you find out what they do? Find someone, somewhere in the U.S., who really knows this business and will explain it all to you. Somewhere, among all the 50 states, there is someone who will talk to you about this, on the Internet, on the phone, etc. I would just write up a really good e-mail introducing yourself and asking your main questions and then email that out directly to 100 courier services across the county, with none of them being in your city or town. At least a few of them are bound to respond. No matter what biz you start, the main biz of the biz is the biz of SELLING. If you can't sell yourself well enough to get a pro to tell you the inside story of the courier biz, then you better forget about being in business for yourself. But, just do it. You can do it. It's not that hard.
