A radio playing music in a shop requires the shop to pay royalty payments, but if the radio was on a sports news station such as BBC radio 5 are any payments due?
Answer:
YES, HOWEVER THERE IS A WAY AROUND IT ALL.FOR THE TIME BEING. If you broadcast music through an mp3 player such as an i-pod, there is no law to say you need a licence. They're working on one though.
If the sports broadcast has a wa4ning broadcast that it it is not for public playing, then the shop will be violating the Copyrights code.
