Do you want to start a home based business or a conventional retail or other? The stats are against you in starting a business and lasting. I was salaried and fee for many years until I finally found a home business that was rewarding and different. By the way, all businesses are on line in one fashion or another these days!

Set up the following essential services for yourself with people you are very comfortable with: a personal banker; an insurance agent who knows ALL line of insurance from liability to disability to set up the necessary safety nets for mistakes and catastrophes that will happen; and a business support NETWORK such as Chamber of Commerce, Women's/Mens Breakfast/Lunch business-to-business clubs, etc: they will have mountains of first-hand advice and also be a great source of business for you, and vice versa.
