It takes time to build up a business if you want to work from home. The other option is to telecommute to an established company. Of course, then you are working in a regualr job again and might be right back in the same position you are in now.
I own my own business working at home with a few programs.
Having been in your situation a little while back I looked into a LOT of programs, some of which were scams (a good many), some of which paid but not enough to make it worth your time, and a very few that actually worked.
Be wary of programs that want you to pay a large start-up fee. Read thoroughly their terms of service and make sure they are going to be offering you a service worth that fee.
In resources I will list a few of the companies that I've found to actually pay worth the time I put into them. Keep in mind that not every program will work for you and be selective. Track the results you get from each program.

The only work@home that I thought SERIOUSLY of doing was herbalife. I backed out at the last minute because I dont have room at home for stock.
Other ways could be such as web design, book keeping or perhaps an online shop of your4 own.
Web design, make a website with something new, and get lots of advertisements on it, as they pay you. Start a shop on e-bay then can be quite successful.

I mean, with the cost of traveling these days, it would be wonderful if you could get all the needed income right from your computer.
I believe one day it will do just that.
By then, we'll all be 500 to 800 pounds and when the time comes we have to leave the home, they'll have to break down some doors to get us out of it.
I would be very fat and sluggish if not for my steady job.

I've had a lot of experience over the past 3 years with this subject. I went through litereally 50+ different companies on the interent trying to make money while I was in college. There's sooo much crap out there and companies that promise you the world but deliver nothing but hype, it takes a while to seperate the crap from the genuine money making opportunities.
Now after sooo many disapointments I'm using a crowd called Data Entry Pro and it's now making me money (finally!) online.
