I need help figuring out a catchy name for a daycare!!?
Answers:
I don't know where you live but there is one in southern W.V. called "Bullfrogs and Butterflies". I always thought that was a catchy name.
Small World.
well, if your last name is bugg like on your screen name, what about Lady Bugg's Daycare?
Big Mamma's Day Care ;)
For one, don't let anyone here tell you what to name it. It is your business and its like a baby, if you let some internet user name your business you aren't ready to run it. (being honest) I will say that it takes time to come up with a name. It took me a while myself and its satisfying to know it is original. Observe the world and you will see how businesses get their names (ex. subway... subs are sandwiches and its a way of eating) be creative...and good luck it's a hard but a rewarding part of entrepreneurship.
Think of something that you love or are interested in... like my yard is full of ladybugs so I named mine Butterflies and Ladybugs Child Care. Have fun with it...good luck.
how about kinderkare, playmates first, sandbox bistro,or the old conservative approach... the little red schoolhouse
or kidde kafe...
Here are a few
- Tadpole Academy
- Home from Home
- Tots Landing
- Angels 'R' Us
Good luck!
Noah's Ark
I don't know where you're from, but I'm from Tulsa and there are a few catchy daycare names around here such as "Land of the Wee-folk". Some daycares around here use a play on words with their own names like a woman named Peggy has "Mrs. Peggy's Daycare" and someone else used their last name like "Carey Care". I don't know your name but that would be a good start.
I swear this is the first thing that came into my mind " BUMBLEBEE DAYCARE" can you imagine a picture of a bumblebee painted against a white wall. > JK <
Since any names that are suggested here may already be owned by another party, I wanted to go a different route...
I suggest either hiring a name creation firm or get together with your friends and/or family and throw a "name party" & have everyone bounce some ideas around. Compile a listing of names that you like the best. Once you have that list, do as much free research as you can before you delve into comprehensive research.
I listed some links where you can do some preliminary name checking. However, please be aware that this is merely scratching the surface of what's out there.
Only comprehensive research will tell you if the name is truly available. But, these links are free & a great place to start, so I'd try them out first.
Comprehensive research consists of looking at marks that are similar in Sound, Appearance or Meaning in the pending & registered Federal AND State trademark files as well as the US National Common-Law files.
There are other sites that offer free searching capabilities in conjunction with their commercial services, so I'm not able to post those links due to the Yahoo! TOS. You'll also want to check domain names & yellow pages, so simply do a search for "free domain name search" and "national yellowpages" and the appropriate links will pop up.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!
