Does anyone here have an Ebay business? Is it a good way to make extra money?
Answer:
Yes I do but do not expect to live off of it anymore. I take it you probably saw the infomercial with Dave Espino selling his "How you can get rich of eBay" cds. The knowledge in those cds are pretty good knowledge if you're new to eBay but the plain and simple fact is that eBay is now super-saturated with power sellers and power sellers and more power sellers. You are in a really tiny bucket with a lot of fish. The chance that a buyer buys from you is just that..a chance because they can get the same thing from some other place. If you market a one of a kind item however, eBay is not the way to go. Setup your on eCommerce site. But hey, there's even more fish in that bucket. The only difference is that the barrel is bigger. I hope my metaphors work for ya. If you wanna look at it positively my company made roughly $100,000-$120,000 off eBay last year (I don't have the reports sitting right in front of me). However my main eCommerce site brought is well over 10 times that. Either way you look at it, selling on the internet to make money is only getting harder. Everyday it seems like 10,000 more people are hopping on the band wagon. I just hope I don't get pushed off.
I'm doing it. Its a nice way to clear out unwanted items too. Note though that you still have to pay for every item you list and sell
You can make a fortune with Ebay if you do properly. That is buy cheap and sell at competitive price. I would recommend you check the link below to find out the Wholesale Sources where you can get up to 90% off Retail price to Compete with the Top Sellers and Make HUGE Profits.
Hope this helps.

I have sold (and bought) Items on Ebay and yes it is a good way
to make extra money if you know where to find items cheap
enough to re-sell. Try this Site for Ideas and sources:
www.realmoneyideas.com Go to the "Additional Income" page.
Read the information about selling online and look for sources
on that page as well.
I did it for a while. as long as nobody eles has what your selling you can do good. If your a power seller you can make it. But you have to have good contacts on where to get your items. Ebay charges no matter if you sell the item or not. the more you sell it for the more the finally charge. Every thing cost on ebay, to highlight it to put a picture on it and to have it show up in the first listings. If you want to see how in some auctions if you just put the auction in and not one of the first check out the jewelery. There is pages and pages of the paid adds first. Sometimes 25 or more pages of them. What chance do your regular listing have of beeing seen. Not much. So you pay for the paid adds. That adds more to the cost of the auction.
My advice is to try and sell a few items from your home that you want to get rid of and then see how that goes. Don;t buy a lot of something and go into it whole hog or you may not sell any of it.
Do a lot of watching of auctions in what your wanting to sell. Its like any business do your homework. See who you will be competeing with. If they can sell it cheaper than you can buy it find something else to sell.
Ebay is good site to make money. Another way is to use "google adsense".
If you got a website or a web-blog, you could make money with putting advertisements on your site (by google). If someone clicks on these ads, you will earn money.
If you don't have a website, you may start creating web-blogs (mostly free) with advertisements (google ads) on it.
