The number one factor in the vending business is location. Getting good locations is tough...most of the good ones are already being serviced.
Beyond that, there's nothing particularly complicated about it. Get locations. Buy machines. Buy product. Take bags and bags of quarters to the bank.
I had an uncle in the business years ago. He made a killing on cigarette machines. Those are long gone now!
