Check out SCORE.ORG and the SBA.GOV websites for information on business start up. If they cannot help with non profit business set up, surely they can help direct you. Both organizations offer free counseling to entrepreneurs. Don't wait! You have an exciting and challenging idea. It's time to make your dream a reality.
Contact an accountant and get "non profit status". You may be able to apply for this on-line.
Take a surf through www.idealist.org - awesome website for charities and donors alike! They have contact information for 56,590 charitable organizations.
They also have 6,572 paid job openings and 11,248 volunteer opportunities with charitable organizations world wide!
You may learn a lot just "joining" their group - free to gain access to all of their helpful ideas and information. They have at least 8 skin cancer awareness programs that would interest you.
