Advice on writing a contract to supply wedding decorations, etc.?
Answer:
"All Financial Transactions Are Final No Refunds Whatsoever." You have to be blunt & firm, people planning parties are often 'robbing Peter to Pay Paul" and no matter how nice & sweet they are, if you give them the slightest hint they can get money back, they will quite literally take it! - - - Make it clear that the more time that the clients give's you the supplier the better the pricing, in other words none of this c r a p about needing an item yesterday. Be clear in all communication but be realistic. Flowers are subject to 'season,' check and double check anything that is being rented, all parts etc - - - also electrical equipment such as fountains etc check as working before they leave the premises. Could go on and on but the most important this is to be clear no refunds. This gives you the option of being nice and giving them 'some' money back, if a situation does come up. Good Luck ------.
Try www.microsoft.com;office;templ.
Use the Internet - it's a great source. Look under other suppliers. See if they have contracts available on-line. You could pull information from them and get your own started. The library or Small Business Networks can help also.
By the way - good luck to you.
Specify the parameters of performance, payment, consequences for breach, etc.
I would ask for a security deposit ahead of time and final payment with 24 hours after the party.
