My family and I are thinking of going into a new business. Can you give suggestions?

My mom owns a small salon. She's been a beautician for the last 12 years. However, with the constant demands of customers and appointments, my mom has been working non-stop 7 days a week for more than 12 hours a day. I've been telling her to quit and sell the shop and start a new business, doing something that is not so stressful and tiring. Financially, we cannot give up the salon now since its our only means of support, but soon we hope to. Can you help me brainstorm some ideas for a another business venture? thank you

You have a customer base.....show them the future. Educate yourself and them in E-commerce...it's the next Trillion dollar trend. The sources below back this up.

Good Luck!!
Definitely think of a new business before you sell that one. Plan it all out with a business plan first. While you're doing that, your mom should get better management and employees at the salon to ease the workload she has.
shes the boss of the place. the workers dont need constant supervision, if they do then maybe a camera is good as being there. she can now start a new business and watch the video from the other business.
Try MLM A lot of salons are doing quite well with XanGo. Check out www.mymangosteen.com/bobcathy
I think you're on the right track with your mom. It's not good for anyone working that much. What about free time with the family?

My tip is Network Marketing. She can do that at the same time as she runs the salon without putting in any extra effort or hours.
She probably already talks a lot with her customers and recommending products she sell.

Why not add more products her customers buy online and she gets paid for recommending them?
Diet is a hot subject and there are many good products on
the market.

I have a friend in UK. She had 5 salons, joined a network marketing company and promoted their products in her salons. Now she's only doing that, working the hours she want and have a fantastic family life.

I read a great eBook that helped me choose the right company when I was out looking. It's called Success in 10 Steps by Michael Dlouhy.

He knows this industry inside out and tells you how it it really works. You download it for free and I promise it will give you a lot of valuble information.

Good Luck!
Monia :-)
Have you thought about supplementing your beauty salon with a line of pure, safe, and beneficial products.
Arbonne has health & wellness products for every member of the family...things that people buy from the store everyday, thus the products are consumable, and that's a VERY important point when looking at network marketing companies. Our products are pure, safe and beneficial, are botanically based, contain no mineral oil, chemical dyes or fragrances, no animal products or by-products, have never been tested on animals, and are pH correct, hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested.
You really owe it to yourself to take a look at Arbonne.

Perhaps just a new approach to the old business is needed. Charge more, work less, make about the same. In addition, she might hire someone to work the time that she is off. She is sitting on a gold mine if only she could learn to manage it.
if you are from New Delhi and NCR then we can meet personally for details
I would probably reesearch a franchise opportunity. I know Sign-A-Rama has a relatively inexpensive franchise purchase with very low royalty fees. TCBY is another good one. If you can sell your current business and parlay your funds into another franchise opportunity, you could get people to work for you instead of you doing all the work, plus have the national backing of a major player.
