.net / .com - what is difference?
Answer:
you should be fine with a .net. The Major part is when a client is typing your website in from memorie, they might enter .com instead because of habit. Also ensure that your keywords are in your domain. this is far more important then .net
Also some advice, if the .com is taken, try and place a backorder on it. If ever it get's free you might be able to pick it up.

.com should be used on Commercial entities and .net on Network infrastructure but I think it doesn't really matters, I mean, people don't follow those rules strictly.

Prior to "e", the correspondence gets to the destination in a similar top down manner e.g. Name of person or organisation, No and street name, suburb and post code, State and Country. The registered company makes it legitimake - at least for the purpose it was set up e.g Pty Ltd is as legitimate as Cooperative. The name does not stop people from reaching you. However you may received mail from unintended sources. What sort of mail do you think you will get (except from those that know who and why you were set up) if you register as John.whorehouse?
You are fine, the only reason why the .com is better is because it is easier for your customers to remember because they are likely to assume that your website ends with a .com versus a .net. However, with good branding and seo if they do forget and search for your site on a search engine, your site should come up in the search results, so you will be fine with a .net
