Any ideas about how I can market my event planning company?

Are you trying to market locally in your own city and community or on a national basis?
If locally, then you need to get involved in local business organizations, examples: Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis, Rotary Club, etc..
By getting involved and discussing your business with local Business Leaders you'll generate a network of possible clients.
Offer to plan an event for FREE, for the Chamber, or any of those organizations, or all of them. Just to show your skills and talents.
On a local basis you really need to generate a strong word-of-mouth effort, because business leaders trust the recommendations of other business leaders.
Make sure you attend every event, open house, etc..that you can possibly attend with your schedule. The more face to face contact you have, the more they will think of you when they have needs.
Also, contact local clubs, Hotels, Convention centers, Retreat Centers, etc.. tell them about your business.
Sending mail, email, etc.. will help some, but not nearly as much as you hand delivering the materials, so they can put a face to the business. You will stand out from the crowd.
P.S. Don't forget Churches, normally they plan their own events, but there are tons of family reunions/events that are being planned by the church members.

Well, a lot of entrepreneurs open a myspace account and put their business web site on their myspace page. Tens of thousands of people are on myspace. You just have to be creative. That is exactly what the music industry people do. The modeling industry, and car shows as well. As a mater of fact, if you notice at the end of movie trailers, they mention their myspace page. It's great to have a web page, you just have to know how to get it out to the masses.
Have you submitted your page to all the search engines? Even with your question, you should have said the name of your event planning company, and put the phone number after it. You have to be clever and creative.
