What is the best way to deal with a supplier who refuses responsibility for poor quality of its products in US
Answer:
Without seeing the doors its hard to know if the vendor isn't right. Unfortunately they could be correct. Even when a door is prehung if it isn't installed correctly it will bind because all doors are shimmed to fit the rough opening. Additionally with wood doors it is critical that they be sealed on all sides and top and bottom right away. Any moisture will cause them to swell and or delaminate. I don't think Angie's list takes any responsibility for the postings it just provides a forum for users to present their personal experiences. You might want to have a knowledgeable subject matter expert such as a licensed home improvement contractor look at the doors and render an opinion in writing with regard to the cause along with a written estimate to repair or replace the doors. You can then follow up with a "demand" letter stating your complaint and asking for a resolution. If that doesn't get a result then you can file in small claims court to recover the cost of repair or replacement. Your local court house will have full instructions on the process to file a small claim. Its not complicated and you don't need a lawyer.
Good luck :) Other Questions and Answers:
