U.S Passport fees for business trip?

I'm going on a business trip this November on a business trip. I need a passport in order to go. My question is, who should pay the passport fees; should I? or the company?

P.S Under normal circumstances I wouldnt have applied for a passport, so i think the company should pay. But then i think this passport is good for 10 years, and im sure on several occasions it will be for personal use.

What do you guys think?

Answer:
I think you should pay for it, but it would not hurt to ask your boss nicely if the company will cover the cost of a passport.
When I first travelled out of the country and I had to get a passport, my company who is sending me on the trip paid for my passport.

Sure, I used that passport for my personal travels later on (and I left the company later). But as you said, I wouldn't have gotten a passport at that point in time if not for the travel my boss wants me to do.

Talk with your boss and argue your case. You wouldn't know if they would allow you if you don't try :o)
I say hit your boss up for the passport fees. It's definitely job-related and passports aren't cheap ($97.00 plus photos if you've never had one before, add $55.00 for expedited service if you need to get it quickly). You don't get if you don't ask.
