Looking for a job?
Answers:
Try looking at specific companies and sending your resume directly. For example, if you find out on hotjobs a place is hiring, go to their website for more information. Then tailor your cover letter to match their company ideals- show some real interest. Then follow up with a phone call asking if they've reviewed your resume and thanking them for their time if they have recieved it.
Get a job, then use their free phones!
first of all, fix up your resume. Make it look good. Search the web for examples. then talk to as many peopel as you can by calling them or emailing and setting up meetings on how they can find customer service jobs for you and if they know people that can refer you. Those types of jobs people usually need.
I would make it more personal. Look in your local newspapers and mail or drop off your resume. Online is great for getting information but if you have sent out a ton of applications chances are there are others like you. This doesn't make you stand out in a crowd.
Try turning in your resume in person, phoning to check on status, sending letters of interest or finding an agency like Apple.
Remember that the old techniques are still the best. In a world of high tech applications, remember that the people who are currently looking at applications are probably the ones who still believe in eye to eye, face to face contact. You want it bad enough, go in and get it.
Good luck!
