What is the best length of time to post an item on eBay?

Most people post for 6 days, but I've seen 16 days. Is there a higher fee associated with that?

Answer:
Actually the average length of time is 7 days, it's just that by the time you see the listing it is already 6 days and 23 hours, for example.

I think the 7 day auction gives you the best chance to hit all the people. It covers every day of the week and some people only look at the site on certain days. If you do a 3-day or 5-day listing then you are potentially missing customers.

One day auctions are usually only when a holiday is coming up and it's an item that needs to go out quickly. Most people on Ebay are honest vendors but the one-day auction format is often used by dishonest people who have actually "hi-jacked" another person's account and are trying to get the money in fast and then split.

Generally, if you see a listing lasting more than 10 days, it is an item listed by someone who has an Ebay shop. These listings can go on for a very long time. There are extra costs involved with having an Ebay shop
anytime is a good time.God bless!
