I would think that the most time and effort would go into training than anything else. Hopefully, if you really value your customers, you will want to spend the most time training those individuals or groups of individuals that deal directly with the customer. A focus on customer service is crucial to the success of any manager.

time managment and scheduling
Scheduling,and Inventory Control.
paperwork and staff issues
Babysitting. The overwhelming majority of employees are incapable of working/acting like adults. Next thing you know, I'm gonna have to spoon feed 'em, cause they can't even figure out how to feed themselves!
Being DEAR ABBY and dealing with personal problems..Sounds like a pain, but doesn't bother me really..People are people and all of us have problems....

with out a doubt. more time is spent dealing with the people that work for you then anything else. from simple task given that has been turned into complex, to their days off.
