What sells best on Ebay?

I would like to know what products sell best on ebay? Which have the best profit margins and which have the most customer interest? I would like answers from people who have had actual experiences with ebay.

Answers:
eBay has several ways for you to determine exactly what the hot items to sell on their marketplace:

Items In Demand = the most popular items currently within that particular category. To see the In Demand page, go to http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/sell...

Hot Items by Category Report = a monthly report that lists the fastest growing categories on eBay for the previous month. Go to http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/what... and select "Hot Items by Category" from the menu on the left.

eBay Pulse = "a daily snapshot of current trends, hot picks, and cool stuff on eBay". Go to http://pulse.ebay.com/ to see eBay Pulse in action.

Merchandising Calendar = eBay promotes specific categories on its home page each month. Savvy eBayers know that this home page exposure results in more interest in such categories. Go to http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/cale... to view the current Merchandising Calendar.

If you want to know profit margins you need to check out the eBay Marketplace Research which is a subscription site that allows you to see data on the sales of sellers and items
The only people guaranteed to make a killing on EBay is EBay themselves with their ridiculous fee structures and your Pay pal costs linked to that.

Electronics may do the thing but it all depends where you get your stock from
Anything and everything, collectable are great though, go to www.bradshawwholesale.com you will find tons to sell with no minimum and they drop ship
In response to your questions...

Be careful what you wish for...

Think about it first...

Do you really think someone will tell you his or her secret -- what products really sells so you can compete against him/her. Be careful what you ask... people will give you false answers for you to fail. You must learn how to become an Internet marketer... learn affiliate marketing... niche marketing but you simply have to work at it. You have to learn from the pros and be mentored by them.

Instead of asking others, research and you shall find all the hidden gold over the Internet. Don't rely on just someone's word... research it... see for yourself.

I just sent another person this message. He seemed a little lost also. I'm going to give you this information but you will have to do the work. Fair enough?

There are two approaches to selling any product over the Internet:

1. Buy/handle your own product; inventory, credit card processing, dropshipper, shipping & handling. (As you can see this requires a lot of work and it's a greater expenses to you.)

A better... more practical... and less expensive way is to join free affiliate programs:

2. There are 100s of 1000s of these free programs. You can sell any product or service imaginable and get a commission (up to 75% or more) each time you sell a product to a customer. You actually send the customer to the vendor or company's website. They, in turn, do all the work for you.

When joining affiliate programs you get free accounts, free advertising materials for your website or blog, in some cases you get a website -- showcasing products to sell, you also get free support, and more.

There's essentially no other work to do but researching and selling. No inventory, no credit card processing, no dropshipping... nothing else. And your expenses are considerably lower than #2's approach.

Do you see what I mean?...

You can learn to sell any product, including electronic products that are in demand (what people want -- not what you want to sell them). And you can learn how to sell your products on eBay, Google, Yahoo!, MSN and other sites.
You will also learn free advertising methods.

But the downside to all of this is...

1. You have to learn Internet marketing/affiliate marketing. Over 90% of beginners fail selling products online, because they didn't learn the right way. Selling over the Internet isn't exactly made-easy. There is a system you will have to learn. eBay has its own system, and paid search engines such as Google, MSN and Yahoo! have their own system. You must learn them all.

2. Don't sell anything without getting the right website. Some people will argue this but you stand to make more money. There are websites to sell products over eBay and other auction sites. There are SEO websites for PPC (paid per click ) search engines, that can help get you you free traffic.

You need to get the right pre-designed website that's user-friendly, customer-friendly and search engine-friendly. Which doesn't require you to have any technical or designing skill. You need an income generating website.

You can do a search right now to check out affiliate programs available to you that are sell electronic products...

Do a search on the internet...

Type -- keyword followed by [affiliate program] in brackests

For example:
computer [affiliate program]
digital camera [affiliate program]
Television [affiliate program]

Or any keyword that interest you. You will find 100s of 1000s, perhaps millions of affiliate programs. You can join as many as you want but you need to learn, first. To become a good internet marketer, it requires research... research... and more research.

Here's where you get it all but take your time to research everything. There's a lot of material.
