I have a great product, ready for stores what next. i'm an inventor not a business man.?
Answers:
you need to get that pattened before you tell anyone about it, otherwise someone will steal your idea from you. After the patton, then you need to find a business partner who will recruit businesses who would be willing to stock your product.
Email me.

You are missing the other half: a business partner.
Speak to a reputable patent attorney in your area. Also make sure the company is structured (Incorporated) correctly. Make sure to get trademarks registered if applicable. The patent attorney will help. Have the patent attorney draw up non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) that people need to sign before they review your idea. Start with the attorney. They can point you in the right direction and will usually offer a free initial consultation. Good luck!
You give very little to go on, is this your first invention ? do you have working models ? have you created costed bills of material ?.
First is to secure the patent, or better off determine if the product can be patented.. You can do a patent search on line just to see if there are similar items listed.
Next is to determine how will you get the product manufactured, it doesnt do much good to promise delivery if you cant deliver.
Next is to create a marketing plan, who will be your target customers, what methods will you use to reach them.
Once you have a marketing plan then product testing and sales materials need to be created. Selling is very different than marketing.
How will you deliver the product, what are you minimum order quantities.
There is much more, I know it sounds cliche but obtain a business plan book and follow the instructions, this will provide you with a rudimentary road map.
