I am starting a Janitorial Cleaning Service,I have everything i need but what do i charge?
Answer:
Take a survey of cleaning services in the Atlanta area to get an "average marketplace rate". You can solicit business by offering services below the market price (just enough to break even), eventually raising the prices as business picks up.
Compare "apples to apples" - size of business (No. of employees, pay rates, benefits, etc.), clients (offices, strip malls, fast food/coffee shops, barber/beauty shops, etc.) and location.
Take out a small ad in a local or neighborhood paper, post flyers at supermarkets, other areas where people gather, join local Chamber of Commerce, ask friends, relatives to "spread the word".
you can post a notice in apartment buildings and run a small add in your local newspaper, charge per room say 15.00 per room per week
Thirteen geese.
Base it on square footage, or the size of a clean-up job if it is a one time. Give a discount to regular customers to help keep business. Good luck.
Hi, I would charge $20 per man hours. But to make money you will want to hire someone to work with you and someone working with your partner, and pay them 8 to 8.50 per hour.To leave flyer's or business cards go between 2 and 4 this would be slower times for them. And join the Chamber of commerce that will help you meet people.
Good luck
