Why is marketing relevant to a business?
Answers:
You are stuck on why SELLING is relevant to business??
You are majoring in the wrong field.
i hope you have a minor or that you are majoring in a completely unrelated field...
You are thinking WAY too deep.
Imagine you decided to open a lemonade stand (you identified a potentially profitable business because 500 children walk by your house every day). How would you market the lemonade? Would you set up your stand in your kitchen, or outside by the road? (positioning) Would you price it at $20 a cup or 50 cents? (price) Would you put up a sign? These relate to marketing!
It doesn't matter if it's lemonade or lemon colored cars, you need to sell it.
It's relevant because if nobody knows the business exists, even with the best price, product or service the business would still have no customers. Marketing is not simply "relevant" to business, it's "essential".
It is sometimes the most expensive thing related to a business mate - You have the answers and you can have it completed by tomorrow - Don't listen to the draggers here!
Just don't think too much about it and it will get clear!
hey,
Here's a choice item
sell ICE (water, you know?) to people who live or work at the poles.
Great product as everybody knows you need water!
Why would the above NOT be a great 'sell' item at North Pole and South Pole on Earth?
without marketing (finding out stuff that you did not know) you are dead in the water.
