If you don't want to take any risk then I suggest leaving the money in the bank and going back to your job. If you think you are good enough at something that you can turn a profit then roll the dice. The point is only you can figure something like this out. The problem is that investment in business is like a pretty sure bet in gambling. Look around at your local enconomy. Is there a type of business that is increasing in popularity but has not yet reached the point where there is and oversaturation of the market. for example, in the northwest, coffee is big and especially drivethru coffee. It was great investment ten years ago. today there is a drivethru on every corner. so what is popular in your area? Landscape maintenance? Coffee? Bicycles? Also, it depends on if you want to just invest in someones business, or build your own biz. Either way, determine the level of experience in the business and the demand for said biz, then see how many others are doing it
