A vendor form is asking me if we Backhaul? what does that mean?

i know its regarding shipping, but I don't know exactly what it means, please help.

Answer:
The return of a carrier to the original point or area from which its journey began. If a carrier can obtain cargo to carry on the back haul route, that cargo may often obtain a favorable freight rate because otherwise the carrier would have to return empty.
I believe that this relates to delivery vehicles collecting third part cargo for the return jouney (normaly at a reduced rate) instead of returning empty.
