the business environment varies considerably between legal systems, entrprenurial culture (banks etc), town & country, local eating culture and climate, local food supplies .
What sort of business do you want, what vision? as a vegi place there is often a social & environmental aspect.
My favorite is the Tree house in Norwich England.
A co-operative, organic food, and cater for all preferences, eg vegan, gluten free etc.
Find a place/organisation (preferably far enough away not to be a competor) you like & volunteer to help them for a few weeks.
ur mom cooks good food.tats a good point.Try to keep it a safe distance away from other restaurants and in a busy locale.Keep the price at a minimum during initial periods.Ask ur mom to include new innovative dishes.Ask the waiters to remain friendly as possible like playing with the visitors children.And of course advertise ur opening in a newspaper.
