Apartments are always listed in this way:
Price: is for the entire apartment
BR: is for your information regarding number of people who can live there, perhaps you have a child and you want the child to sleep in their own room, etc.
SQ FT: Area of floor space within the apartment, heated or A/C space, not including exterior porches, garages, etc.
They are never priced per bedroom. In your example, you would have to pay $1200 per month. you get to have 2 bedrooms, you may be able to lease the 2nd bedroom to a friend but you would be responsible for the whole $1200. You can determine what you would charge the friend, it doesn't have to be half. Since you are taking responsibility for the whole amount, you can charge more than half, $750 for example..
