Forclosure lists?

I keep hearing ads on the radio about buying forclosed homes. In order to find out more, you need to call a number and purchase a list. Does anyone know if it is worthwhile? Does anyone know a reputable company? In NY, it seems to be the only way a young couple can afford a home. You have to know someone to get in on them though.

Answers:
Lis Pendens, or the pre-foreclosure notices, are public information and should be available for free at your county's offices. Look for the county clerk as a start. They should be able to tell you where to go. Some counties have all the info online. Don't ever buy a list that you can get for free. You will spend half of your time scrubbing the list to see what is accurate. Here is a link to find NY county information-

I can get you lists of Pre Foreclosure properties in NJ. They do not have phone numbers it would be up to you to fine them. They do have the address and name of the person under foreclosure. It would be up to you to negotiate a sale with them. I'd say it's a very good way to get an under market valued home. It has been very worthwhile for me and my firm.
Foreclosure listings can cover all kinds of foreclosed property announcements such as foreclosure auctions, pre-foreclosures, and bank home sales. These types of properties provide a unique opportunity to homebuyers and/or investors by offering them a chance to purchase property for far less than its normal market value. ForeclosureListings.com gives you access to thousands of foreclosure listings from all around the country. For more information, please visit www.foreclosurelistings.com
